The Sandbox is an ecosystem of three products which helps provide a better user experience across all levels:
1. Marketplace
On The Sandbox is the first initial step in tokenizing voxel ASSETS. in this platform artists are introduced to blockchain by presenting them with a non-fiat decentralized marketplace. The marketplace will allow for the trading of NFTs, which are interoperable between different games and platforms on different blockchains.
The marketplace launched on the 30th March 2021 and feature NFTs that were created by The Sandbox’s Creator Fund, which are available for purchase. A fee of 5% is added on top of all transactions in the marketplace. All revenue from these purchases will be split – 95% goes to artists who create NFTs, and another 5% is spread out between financing more creators in The Sandbox’s Creator Fund or Game Maker fund programs.
2. Game maker
Game maker allows users to create and manage their own virtual worlds within the Sandbox ecosystem. Sandbox Marketplace users can create or purchase ASSETS. they can use it on purchased LAND to build their virtual universe, which includes a variety of building blocks like textures, objects and characters that they can customize themselves with. With a simple drag-and-drop system users are able to do this without any coding skills at all!
